Join us for our Annual Meeting of Membership, where we'll gather to reflect on progress, celebrate achievements, and look ahead to the future of composting in Iowa.

This year's event will feature keynote remarks from Frank Franciosi, Retired Executive Director of the U.S. Composting Council.

Mr. Franciosi has spent over 30 years working in residuals management and composting, with experience spanning operations management, sales, and marketing. In 1993, he founded RT Soil Sciences, North Carolina's first source-separated organics composting facility. As principal of Akkadia Consulting, he provided expertise in animal waste management, biosolids, coal ash residuals, composting of industrial residuals, and product development and marketing. He has led the turnkey startup of award-winning composting facilities--from concept and feasibility through permitting, equipment selection, staffing, and product marketing. Frank also developed and managed Novozymes' Nature's GREEN-RELEAF™ composting facility from 20032015. In 2014, he received the Hi Kellogg Award for outstanding service to the U.S. composting industry. He served as Executive Director of the U.S. Composting Council for nine years, helping guide the organization to financial stability and long-term success. Frank is now semi-retired and continues consulting within the composting industry. He holds a B.S. in Plant and Soil Sciences from West Virginia University and is a Certified Compost Operations Manager (CCOM™).
