You are invited to attend and participate in the Iowa Recycling Measurement and Reporting Stakeholder Meeting hosted by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR). This is an online event which will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 10:00AM 12:00PM (CDT) and is open to anyone interested in learning more about measuring and reporting recycling in Iowa.

Iowa has a long history of supporting waste reduction and recycling through state policy, planning, and targeted financial assistance. Despite these efforts, consistent statewide recycling data remains limited. This data is a critical component to supporting long-term planning, infrastructure investment, and policy development.

The purpose of this event is to present the results of an evaluation on how other states collect and manage recycling data. We will also present and discuss the type of information and possible collection methods Iowa could consider implementing.

This effort was funded by an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling (SWIFR) grant.

Pre-registration is required. To register: CLICK HERE

NOTE: You will receive an email from Zoom with a meeting link. Please add this to your calendar.
