OUR MISSION AND VISION
Our mission is to promote and advance recycling and sustainable practices in Iowa through collaborative efforts.
We envision an Iowa where every material that can be reused or recycled is put to its highest and best use.
WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO
The Iowa Recycling Association is a membership-based, non-profit organization serving as the voice of recycling in Iowa since 1989.
Our members are individuals and organizations, businesses and industry, local governments and educational institutions working together to create a healthy environment and a healthy economy by promoting recycling and waste-reduction activities.
We provide information and education to industry professionals, policy makers and the public. We accomplish this through programming, advocacy, resource sharing and networking opportunities.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
We are led by a Board of Directors drawn from all sectors. Our Board meetings are open and normally held on the third Thursday of every other month. The meetings are located at member sites and other locations around the state. IRA members are encouraged to attend!
Check our calendar for information about upcoming meetings. Minutes of previous 12 months of board meetings can be found using this link. If you have any issues downloading these documents, please send us an email to receive a copy.
