“LEAP into Groundwater” The Groundwater Foundation’s Jamie Oltman will lead educators through “LEAP into Groundwater” (LEAP). LEAP stands for Learn, Educate, Act, and Protect. This four phase process combines education about groundwater, teaching others, and taking action to protect water resources. The four phases are compiled together in an easy to use manual and workbook which provides educators all the resources and instructions to take students through the LEAP program. Oltman will show how LEAP can be modified for various audiences as well has highlight various water topics specific to your audience, location, and specific issues. Hands-on educational activities that focus on pollution prevention and water quality will be demonstrated. Get ready to LEAP with Jamie, participate in some hands-on activities, and get motivated to take action in your community. All participants will receive a “LEAP into Groundwater” manual and one other groundwater education activity guide from The Groundwater Foundation.
